Title: Winter Wardrobe Staples

We are right in the thick of winter now! Summer, oh but a distant memory! (Much like the first half of this year – would you agree?) So, what better time to get in centre and spruce up your wardrobe with those ever-lasting staple items?

Budget-savvy tips for updating your winter wardrobe:

  1. Less is more – Focus on winter must-haves, the key items that you can’t do without and that will go the distance. Start with a good coat or two, a few good pairs of jeans, one or two pairs of boots, and a few winter knits. It’s ok to rotate your wardrobe across your essentials, and you add extra ‘treat’ pieces if you’ve stuck to your monthly budget.
  2. Invest in quality over quantity– because you don’t have to worry about stocking up the wardrobe with millions of pieces, you can purchase fewer items that are made with good material. Quality fabrics tend to last longer so you won’t have to replace them every winter.
  3. Neutrals are in and easy to mix and match – Finally! A season where you don’t have to stand-out, it’s almost an unspoken rule – the cooler the season, the less ‘loud’ your clothing needs to be!
  4. Fit and textures – Try before you buy. Being confident in selecting the right soft materials suitable for you, judge the fit and ensure that the hues flatter your complexion is an important factor when shopping and getting it right in store the first time!
